Prof (Dr.) K T V Reddy conferred the Distinguished Fellow of IETE 2024

Prof. (Dr.) K.T.V. Reddy, Dean, Faculty of Engineering And Technology, Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed University), has been Conferred a IETE Distinguished Fellowship-2024 of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). This prestigious recognition was conferred during the 67th Annual IETE Convention (AIC) held in Bhopal on September 14-15, 2024 at the hands of Shri. Aidal Singh Kasana, Hon. Agriculture Minister, Madhya Pradesh, in the presence of Dr. B. S. Yadav, Chancellor, IES University, Bhopal, Mr Vinod Gupta, DG DOT, Dr A.K Saini, President, IETE, Mr. Sunil Kumar, IETE, President Elect, Dr. A.P. Thakare, TPC Chairman, Dr Nilesh Kasat, West Zone Mentor, Past Presidents and GC members of IETE. Prof. Reddy was felicitated for his exceptional contributions to the fields of Electronics, Computers and IT. He is honored as the youngest ever Distinguished Fellow since its inception in 1953.

Founded in 1953, IETE is India's Apex Professional Body of Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Science & IT Professionals & is devoted to the advancement of Science & Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication, Computers & IT. It serves more than 1,50,000 members (including Corporate, Student and ISF members) through various 63 Centers, spread all over India and abroad. The Institution provides leadership in Scientific and Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. Government of India has recognized IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an Educational Institution of National Eminence.

Since 1953, Two Distinguished Fellow(s) are elected every year through online election every year by an Electoral College consisting of the Governing Council Members and Distinguished Fellows. Some of the Distinguished Fellows elected previous years are from ISRO, DRDO, Defence, TIFR & Electronics Manufacturing Industries. At present, there are only 31 Distinguished Fellows of IETE in the entire country & now, Prof (Dr) K T V Reddy, Dean, Faculty of Engineering And Technology [FEAT], joins the Distinguished Fellows as the youngest since 1953.
